Just imagine being surrounded by nature as you take your vows with your family and friends there by your side. It sure to be one of the most relaxed venues to choose from. You’ll have free roam to decorate as you wish; think of alter arches covered in your favourite flowers, guests sitting on barrels on hay and cuddled up under blankets.

If you’re lucky, your venue may have different outdoor areas for your ceremony. Wasing Woodland Weddings have a number of locations on their grounds, from a woodland area to a secret walled garden. IMG_1234

For the reception and evening if you want to keep the party outside, consider hiring a marquee or a teepee. Teepees have grown in popularity in recent years and they look amazing. Especially when decorated with fairy lights and flowers with a fire pit in the middle to keep you all toasty. And in the evening, you can take the tables away and turn to into a dance floor.

You will need to consider accommodation for you and your guests, as with any venue you book. With an outdoor wedding you could decide to try your hand at camping or better yet glamping, you may get lucky and have a venue with a treehouse onsite or nearby. There may be accommodation on site for guests as well but look around the area for neighbouring hotels.

Top Tip – If you are considering an outdoor wedding, think about the weather, it can be unpredictable at the best of times. Just because you’re having a summer wedding doesn’t mean it won’t rain. You might want to hire an open marquee for the ceremony in case it does rain or put out umbrellas for your guests so no one gets wet. It’s never a bad thing to be over prepared for you wedding.
