This post doesn’t have anything to do with weddings but it would really mean a lot if you could please take a moment and read this post.
Just over a year a go a friend of mine, Mike Davies, took his own life. The worst of it was not even knowing that Mike suffered from depression and anxiety. As a group of friends we all banded together and decided we wanted to do a fundraiser to raise awareness and to raise some money for PAPYRUS – prevention of young suicide. They do amazing work to shatter the stigma around young suicide and help train communities to become suicide aware.
So as a team we decided to do the National Three Peaks Challenge – or I say we, the four men would do the challenge and us three ladies would do all the “backstage” support and driving during the challenge. The challenge is to climb the three tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon).
After months of training and preparation, the day of the challenge came and last weekend we made our trip up to Scotland. The team started the challenge at 4pm on the Saturday afternoon at Ben Nevis and they finished at 3:58pm on Sunday at Snowdon (just 2 minutes to spare!)
We documented our weekend and put a little video together that you can see here:
The amount of love and support we have received has been overwhelming. Our goal was to raise £2000 for PAPYRUS and so far we are on over £4000! We are so pleased with the amount donated and know that it will help PAPYRUS greatly.

PS – This is the reason I have been MIA on here for the past couple of weeks. All of my time has been taken up with planning the challenge and editing. I hope you all understand and I will be back to posting regularly next week.
